Cornerstone Insurance was built on a simple idea: the families, small businesses, and growing communities of the inland Carolinas deserve an insurance partner who actually knows their neighborhoods. Not a call center. Not a faceless national brand. A team of real people invested in the Piedmont, the Upstate, and every town along the I-85 corridor in between.

The agency launched in the Charlotte metro area, founded by insurance professionals who had spent years working inside large carriers and recognized a gap in the market. Residents across the Piedmont region and Upstate South Carolina were underserved by agencies that understood their specific risks, from summer hailstorms rolling off the Blue Ridge foothills to the rapid commercial growth reshaping cities like Concord, Greensboro, and Greenville.

From day one, the mission was personal service at every touchpoint. Cornerstone started with a single office and a handful of clients who valued face-to-face relationships. Word spread quickly. Referrals brought in neighbors, coworkers, and local business owners who wanted an agent they could call by name.

As the agency grew, it made the deliberate decision to operate as an independent broker rather than remain tied to a single carrier. That shift opened the door to dozens of top-rated insurance companies, giving clients access to better coverage options and more competitive pricing. It also positioned Cornerstone to serve a broader territory spanning the Charlotte metro, Concord, Burlington, the Triad, Easley, Spartanburg, Anderson, and the Clemson area.

Today, Cornerstone Insurance continues to expand across the inland Carolinas, adding experienced agents and opening offices where growth demands it. The approach has not changed. Every policy still gets written one client at a time, with the same attention to detail and commitment to honest guidance that started the whole thing.
